The tradition began in 1998, when Toyota first launched the Toyota Sienna. Originally powered by a 3.0L V6 rated at 194 hp, this people mover was built on an extended version of the Camry platform; it was even marketed as the "Camry of minivans".
Fast forward 25 years, and the 2023 Sienna has shed the "minivan" stigma and looks more like its SUV brother Highlander than its Sienna ancestors.
