The bZ4X is a battery electric vehicle (BEV) that completes Toyota's portfolio of electrified models, which includes self-charging hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles. By introducing the bZ4X, Toyota provides Canadian drivers with a new, advanced, and zero-emissions choice within the country's largest market segment.

What sets apart the bZ4X
The bZ4X offers a premium interior styling with accessible features and a focus on the multimedia system. The Toyota Multimedia system, designed by Toyota's North American Connected Technologies team, takes centre stage in the cockpit design. The LE and XLE grades feature a 12.3-inch touch screen, while the L grade has a standard 8-inch touchscreen. The system offers enhanced connectivity and convenience features, including Over-the-Air (OTA) updates.
The Toyota Multimedia system allows users to interact with the system through intuitive touch and voice controls. It includes the Intelligent Assistant, Cloud Navigation, and Destination Assist features. The Intelligent Assistant can be activated by saying "Hey Toyota" and enables voice-activated commands for various functions such as searching for directions, finding Points of Interest (POI), adjusting audio controls, and changing cabin temperatures. Cloud Navigation utilizes the cloud to download the latest map, traffic, and routing information. POI search is provided by Google Points-of-Interest data. Destination Assist provides access to 24/7 live agent assistance for locating destinations.
Dual Bluetooth phone connectivity is supported, and the system is compatible with standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For an enhanced audio experience, the bZ4X offers an optional JBL Premium Audio system with 9 speakers, including an 8-channel HiD 800-watt amplifier and a 9-inch subwoofer.
The bZ4X, starting from the LE grade, includes a range of standard Connected Services. Safety Connect offers features such as an Emergency Assistance Button (SOS), 24/7 Enhanced Roadside Assistance, Automatic Collision Notification, Stolen Vehicle Locator, and Collision Assistance with a 3-year trial service. Service Connect provides Vehicle Health Reports, Maintenance Alerts, and reminders with up to a 5-year trial.
With the Toyota app, bZ4X owners (LE grade and above) can utilize the Remote Connect service. It allows users to stay connected to their vehicle and offers features like activating headlights, horn alert, buzzer, and hatch unlock. Remote climate control features enable temperature controls, remote activation of seat heaters/ventilators, steering wheel heater, and defroster, as well as the ability to schedule a timer for daily routines. The enhanced remote vehicle climatization feature allows for drive-off capability after enabling the climate control system remotely.
The bZ4X XLE with Technology package provides access to the Toyota-first Digital Key feature through the Remote Connect service. This feature enables owners to share vehicle access with up to seven friends and family members, allowing them to lock, unlock, and start the vehicle using their smartphones via the Toyota app.
Remote Charging capabilities are also included with Remote Connect. It allows users to check the charging status, start/stop charging if the vehicle is already plugged in, and edit charging schedules for enhanced control of the bZ4X's charging capabilities. The Toyota app also provides a map to find charging station locations near the user or along their planned road trip.
