4Runner Greatness

The Toyota 4Runner lineup consists of five different grades or trim levels, catering to various preferences and needs. All 4Runner models share a common foundation—a body-on-frame chassis with a four-link rear axle and coil spring suspension, providing a comfortable ride quality while conquering tough conditions. Powering the 4Runner is a 4.0L V6 engine delivering 270 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque, paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. The transmission features sequential shift mode, and the vehicle offers either on-demand or full-time 4WD, along with several handling and control technologies depending on the model.

Inside the 4Runner, the cabin is designed to accommodate five or seven passengers and offers ample space for adventure gear. The second row seats have a 40:20:40 split-folding configuration, and the seven-passenger models also feature a 50:50 fold-flat third-row seat. Folding these seats down provides a cargo capacity of 2,540 liters (89.7 cubic feet) behind the front seats, with a payload capacity of up to 773 kg (1,704 lbs). Additionally, every 4Runner is equipped with an integrated tow hitch receiver and wiring harness, enabling a towing capacity of up to 2,268 kg (5,000 lbs).

All 4Runner models now come with a heated steering wheel. Other standard features include heated front seats, multiple power outlets, the Toyota Smart Key System with Push Button Start, and Connected Services by Toyota. Models equipped with Audio Plus with Remote include Service Connect, Safety Connect, and Remote Connect. Premium Audio with Remote adds features like embedded navigation with traffic and weather updates, as well as Destination Assist Connect.

Safety is a priority in the 4Runner, and it includes an extensive package of safety technologies and systems. Toyota Safety Sense-P, an advanced suite of active safety features, is standard across all models, along with the Toyota Star Safety System. Additional safety features include the Blind Spot Monitor system with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, eight airbags, a rear occupancy alert system, tire pressure monitoring, and a backup camera.
